Amanda Perrone was there with her bridal party, mother and grandmother Saturday Nov. 16. The group came from Langhoe, outside of Philadelphia to see what Dress 2 Impress had to offer. Perrone said she saw them at a bridal show at The Flanders and decided to make an appointment. Perrone’s attendants all made the trip from the Philadelphia area so they could weigh in on the dresses.“This is our version of ‘vintage cocktail dresses,’” Ogrodnek said as they all settled in on chairs and a big overstuffed sofa for a fashion show staring their favorite bride-to-be. The bridesmaids snapped pictures and weighed in on all of the gowns and doing their part to be helpful to the bride.
For her part Perrone, who will be married in August, 2014 knew she was looking for a fit and flair style casual beach wedding dresses because she likes the lines but otherwise she was open to try a number of different dresses. Each one was lovely but when she came out in a strapless Paloma Blanca gown with Swarovski crystals tears welled up in her mother, Pat Perrone’s eyes. The mother was overwhelmed at just how beautiful her daughter looked.
Likewise, Kimberly Pelham of Cape May registered at the bridal show, received a call from Patty Ogrodnek, the sales manager of the shop to come in for a fitting. Pelham along with her mother and sister came in for a look and left several hours later with two of the biggest things checked off their “to do” list; wedding gown and vintage cocktail dresses. Pelham settled on a gorgeous silk gown with Swarovski crystals. Violet Delinvanova measured and re-measured the gown and will complete all of the alterations in-house. “I just came in to look around but they had everything I wanted,” said Pelham who along with her mom and sister still had time for lunch next door at the Cheeseboard; a good day all the way around.
